Earlier this month, Zimmerman was acquitted on charges of second degree murder and manslaughter. According to the "New York Daily News," the hip-hop power couple took to the streets Saturday, attending a rally in Manhattan in protest of Stand Your Ground laws and in support of Trayvon Martin.
Alongside Jay and Bey was Trayvon's mother, Sybrina Fulton, as well as civil rights icon Reverend Al Sharpton. During the rally, Sharpton praised Jay-Z and Beyoncé as "two of the baddest artists that's ever been." Their presence was also felt through Jay-Z's song "Empire State of Mind," which apparently played as the gathering was wrapping up.
Taking the stage at Yankee Stadium Friday, Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake dedicated Jay's song "Forever Young" to Trayvon. The two are currently on their "Legends of the Summer" tour.
