Kendrick Lamar, Robin Thicke and Tamar Braxton are adding new hardware to their trophy shelves after the 2013 Soul Train Awards.
According to HipHopDx.com, during Friday's awards ceremony at Las Vegas' Orleans Arena, Kendrick's debut album good kid, m.A.A.d. city picked up the trophy for Album of the Year. Kendrick beat out albums by Justin Timberlake, Miguel, Jay Z, Fantasia and Rihanna to get the honor.
Robin Thicke's smash hit "Blurred Lines" featuring Pharrell Williams and T.I. grabbed the award for "Song of the Year."
Meantime, Tamar Braxton won in the category of Best R&B/Soul Female Artist, while Miguel won for Best R&B/Soul Male Artist.
Hosted by actor Anthony Anderson, the awards ceremony also featured performances from Jennifer Hudson, Chaka Khan, T.I., Warren G, Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick and Big Daddy Kane.
The full winners list for the 2013 Soul Train Awards will be presented when they air on Sunday, December 1st at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on BET and CENTRIC.
